Results on Audit of Audit Chamber on Use of Funds Collected by Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and Transferred to State Budget to Be Presented by the End of Month
1 / 3

The Audit Chamber has not completed the process of studying the use of funds collected by the Hayastan All-Armenian fund and transferred to the RA state budget. “We will probably have the results of the audit by the end of this month,” the Chairman of the Audit Chamber Atom Janjughazyan noted, answering the question of the deputy Zaruhi Batoyan, then added that he was invited by the NA Inquiry Committee and gave clarifications. Zaruhi Batoyan noted that Atom Janjughazyan was the Minister of Finance during that period and expressed concern whether there would be a conflict of interests in that sense. Atom Janjughazyan assured that the Audit Chamber has enough professional skills. “We must also take into account the fact that it is not about me, I joined the activities of the Chamber later than the audit was during the examination. Therefore, I assure that it will have no impact,” the Chairman of the Chamber underlined.

The RA Chairman of the Audit Chamber Atom Janjughazyan submitted the annual report on the activities of the RA Audit Chamber for 2021 to the parliament, which, according to him, briefly reflects the main process and results of the activities carried out within the framework of the 2021 annual program of the Chamber.

The RA Audit Chamber conducted 94 audits in 2021, 72 of which were within the framework of the first part of the 2021 Action Plan of the Audit Chamber, 19 - within the framework of the audits approved by the risk-based methodology of the second part of the action plan, and 3 - within the framework of the joint activities envisaged by the international agreements of the third part of the action plan.

19 out of 30 audits envisaged within the framework of the second part of the 2021 Action Plan of the Audit Chamber were completed. The remaining 11 audits are still ongoing.

According to Atom Janjughazyan, the Audit Chamber 65 audits with 91% coverage of the budget in 17 departments in order to draw a conclusion on the performance of the 2020 budget under the first point.

“The materials formed as a result of 6 audits on suspicion of apparent crime in the reporting year 2021 were sent to the General Prosecutor’s Office,” the Chairman of the Audit Chamber informed.
